Collaboration between universities with £50m green energy deal

The Energy Consortium has established an aggregated power purchase agreement delivering clean electricity for 20 universities. The deal involves buying renewable energy directly from British windfarms.

Benefits include locking-in a proportion of their power at a fixed price over a 10 year period, supporting the amount of renewables in the UKs gerenation mix and contributing to a net-zero carbon ennvironment for their community and the UK.
