Delegates from around the UK come together to learn of one of our latest agreements and its its benefits for Members.
A launch event in support of the new National Legal Services Framework Agreement took place on 8 November. The event held at the Student Central building in Malet Street, Bloomsbury welcomed around 100 delegates throughout the day, who each had the opportunity to attend plenary sessions of their choice, whilst networking and learning of offerings from suppliers who were exhibiting throughout the breaks.
The event covered topics ranging from managing complex procurements within the HE sector to making the most of appeals, restricted gifts and legacies. Guest speakers came from organisations such as Womble Bond Dickinson, Veale Wasbrough Vizards, Mills & Reeve, Hill Dickinson and Penningtons Manches. The mixture of topics covered ensured that there was something for each delegate and should have hopefully assisted in discovering just why our latest framework agreement is even better than previous iterations.
Jill Christiaens, Senior Contracts Manager and organiser of the event said “I was delighted with the level of engagement and commitment from both Member Institutions and suppliers in making this a dynamic and successful event. I am particularly pleased with the positive comments we had about the quality of the programme. I am looking forward to continue supporting Member Institutions in calling-off from the National Legal Services Framework Agreement.”
The National Legal Services Framework agreement was a result of a collaborative exercise between all English and Welsh higher education procurement consortia and is available to access via HEC.
