NEWS: LUPC Legal Services spend passes £5m mark

12 December 2012

Spend through LUPC’s framework agreement for legal services this month passed the £5m mark, saving an estimated £1m so far for LUPC Members.

The agreement, awarded in 2010 after an intensely competitive procurement process, has proved a major hit with Members looking to save cash on their legal expenses.  A total of 13 firms are organised in eight practice areas covering employment; commercial; corporate finance; litigation; property; student matters; constitutional & regulatory; and medical law.  There’s also a One-Stop-Shop through which Members can appoint a single firm to meet a range of needs for their operations.

Dozens of Member representatives have already enjoyed free legal seminars and updates offered by the LUPC panel of law firms, while many offer additional, valuable incentives such as spend threshold discounts, free advice helplines and dedicated extranets with template documents.

The agreement is open to all LUPC Members and, on application, all other HEIs and FE colleges across the south-east.
