LUPC has this week welcomed the Research Councils UK Shared Services Centre as a new full Member.
The Shared Services Centre joins together the HR, IT, finance and procurement functions of seven research councils, including the Medical Research Council, the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Science and Technology Facilities Council. Each year, the research councils invest around £2.8 billion in research, and they're involved in everything from tackling superbugs or studying social trends to analysing the geo-climate of the Antarctic.
